How an engagement works

The Consultation Process

A retirement plan is a written record, not a meeting. Here is the path from your first inquiry to a plan you can still trust in a bad year.

1

Intake

After you book, you receive a short intake sheet and a list of documents to bring: your National Pension statement, any severance pay estimate you hold, your account balances, and three months of spending records. The intake sheet takes about twenty minutes. It exists so the session itself is spent deciding, not collecting numbers.

2

The live budget session

The session is ninety minutes and the work happens in it. We draw up your retirement budget live, in Korean won, on paper — the split between must-spend and may-spend, and the income gap that has to be closed. You see every assumption as it is written and you can object to any of it. A session that ends without a budget is a failed session, so we do not let that happen.

3

The written income plan

Within five business days you receive a written plan: the budget, the order of withdrawals, the stress-test result against market history, and the next review date. The plan names what we know and what we do not. If a recommendation depends on a pension rule that may change, the plan says so. You keep the document; it is yours, not ours.

4

The annual review

A plan that is not revisited drifts. Each year we re-run the budget against what you actually spent, reset the withdrawal rate against the last twelve months of markets, and decide together whether anything needs to change. The review is short — sixty minutes — because the plan was built to be re-read, not rebuilt.

What we need from you

Honest numbers. The plan is only as good as the figures it is built on. Bring real spending, not aspirational spending; real balances, not estimates rounded favorably; and the pension statements you actually have, not the ones you mean to request.

What you get from us

A retirement budget in KRW, a withdrawal order with the reasoning written next to it, a stress-test result, and a review date. No software login, no dashboard, no promises about returns. A document, and a person who will re-read it with you next year.
