Prism Retirement Planning — retirement income, mapped with craft.
We turn a working life of savings in KRW into a dependable monthly flow — one household at a time, on paper, tested against the market history that has actually happened.
The craft
Retirement income is built, not guessed.
From a working life to a monthly flow
Most retirement conversations stop at a number. Ours start there. The first conversation puts your expected pension pillars — National Pension, workplace severance pay, personal holdings — next to the spending your life actually requires, in KRW, with no decimals and no flattery.
The output is a retirement budget: a clear line between what you must spend, what you may spend, and what you intend to leave behind. That line is what we test against sequence-of-returns risk, inflation, and the years you should plan to live to, not the average you read about.
Must-spend vs may-spend
We separate the spending you cannot defer from the spending you can, so a bad market year never forces a bad decision.
Withdrawal order
Which account to draw from first — taxable, pension, or personal — changes the years your money lasts.
Tested against your life, not a template
A plan that survives a 2008 or a 1997 is the only kind worth building. We stress-test your withdrawal rate against market history — Korean and global — before we hand it over.
Session formats
Three ways to work with us
Retirement Budget Session
One 90-minute conversation that produces your first retirement budget — what you must spend, what you may spend, and the income gap you need to close, in KRW.
Income Plan Engagement
Three conversations over four weeks. We map pension pillars, fix the withdrawal order, and stress-test the plan against market history. Delivered as a written plan you keep.
Annual Review
A yearly 60-minute session for existing clients. We revisit the budget against actual spending, reset the withdrawal rate, and re-test against the last twelve months.

How we work
One household at a time, on paper, in KRW.
Retirement planning is not a software output. It is a set of decisions made by a specific household with specific obligations — a parent to support, a child still in school, a flat in Gangnam paid off and another not.
We work in single consultations because that is how decisions actually get made: one conversation, one set of numbers, one plan you can read again in a year. We write down what we recommend, and we say what we do not know.
Who this is for
A session helps some households. Not all.
This is for you if
- You are within ten years of retirement, or already in it, and hold savings or pension rights in Korea.
- You want a written retirement budget in KRW, not a marketing pitch about freedom.
- You are willing to bring your real numbers — accounts, pension statements, spending — to a 90-minute conversation.
This is not for you if
- You want stock tips or portfolio management — we plan income, we do not manage assets.
What you leave with
- A written budget, a withdrawal order, and the next step — even if the next step is to do nothing yet.
Honest about the limits
We make no promise of returns, and no promise that a plan will never need to change. We promise a defensible plan, built from your numbers, that you understand.
What an engagement looks like
From first session to written plan
Before the session
You get a brief intake form and the documents to bring — pension statements, account balances, three months of spending. Nothing more.
During the session
We draft the budget live, on paper, in KRW. You see every assumption and can push back on any of it. The session is the work, not a sales step.
After the session
You receive a written plan within five business days, with the withdrawal order, the stress-test outcome, and the next review date. Then you decide.
“A retirement plan is a document you can re-read in a bad year and still trust.”— the working principle of every Prism Retirement Planning consultation
